Hattie is a very sweet girl who loves treats. She was turned in as a stray so we are learning more about her every day. Hattie is incredibly smart and food driven. She knows sit and is learning to wait at doors. She doesn't seem to have much experience walking on a leash but is catching on quickly. Dennis is a big goofy boy. He loves cookies and enjoys trick training. He can sit and lay down on command and we have been working on teaching him a touch cue. Are you interested in a kitten? We occasionally get litters of kittens in. The best way to hear if we have kittens is to apply to adopt and once pre approved have staff contact when they are in shelter.

Daisy is a bouncy high energy young dog. She is used to living with a family with an elderly person and teenager. Daisy has liked dogs of a similar energy level but never been around cats. She can be a bit nervous with new people and tends to bark at them but for a squeaky toy she will love anyone. She is a bit toy obsessed and fetch is one of her favorite games. Smudge is an older male cat who is used to ruling the roost. He was previously an indoor outdoor cat but needs meds every 12 hours.
The meds aren't very expensive and he eats them in his wet food. In his previous home he would act out if not allowed outside but he doesn't seem to mind being inside here and we have even started harness training him so he can still enjoy the outside. Smudge does not appreciate other animals in his space but he likes people. He doesn't always want pets but he likes to be held and sit in laps. Smudge is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered.

Jen is a sweet 5 year old cat who has been our longest resident at the shelter. Jen loves people and gets along with some dogs and cats. Jen can be a bit of a bully and does best with cats that let her be in charge. She has some special needs including a Urinary Hairball food diet. Jen does have some litter box issues and does better when there are multiple clean litterboxes available. Jen's favorite locations are up high and in the sun.
